Who am I investing with?

Bizank is independently owned and your funds are managed by asset manager, Anchor Capital. The Anchor Group manages more than R 30 billion with a staff of more than a 100 people and an investment team of over 20 individuals.

That's now 42.5 Billion and a staff of over 60.

What does it cost?

The management fee is between 1.00% and 1.50% (excl. VAT), depending on what you are investing in. Your exact fee will be determined based on how, with the use of the Bizank tool, you have created your personal investment portfolio. There are no intermediary or advisor fees, only the asset management fee.

Certain Anchor Capital funds may charge performance fees, over and above the annual management fee.

Is my money safe?

Absolutely. Bizank and Anchor Capital does not take ownership of your money. It is held in a portfolio with a custodian, opened in your name. You deposit your money into the trust account of Anglorand and you have all the protection afforded by the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. You directly own the shares and nobody can take them away from you.

Is Bizank a FSB licensed entity?

Bizank is independently owned and has appointed Anchor Capital as the asset manager. Anchor Capital is an authorised Financial Services Provider FSB # 39834 Reg # 2009/002925/07

What are the risks?

Your primary risk is investment returns. Different asset classes have different risk profiles and the Bizank assessment determines the risk profile that we think is appropriate for you. There is no guarantee on the return you will generate. Your money is held by reputable institutions, which are governed by the Johannesburg Stock Exchange or the Financial Services Board. Your money is deposited directly with these entities and neither Bizank nor Anchor Capital take deposits or handle your funds.

What am I investing in?

Based on the size of your investment and investment profile we will design a portfolio for you in a combination of unit trusts and individual shares.

What is the minimum investment?

The minimum investment is R1000 debit order per month or R10,000 initial lumpsum.

Is there a lock in?

There is no lock in. If you require your funds it will take a maximum of six days for them to be refunded.

How do I withdraw my money?

You simply request your funds back. There is no withdrawal fee.

Could I replicate for myself what Bizank is doing?

You can invest funds yourself, but this is usually done with the help of a financial advisor - thereby increasing your cost. Bizank provides ongoing management of your portfolio, backed up by a team of over 20 investment professionals who are constantly assessing the local and international investment climate.

Am I able to view historical performance?

Your money is invested in Anchor Capital funds and you can view the historic performance of these funds on the Anchor Capital website. Click here for more information.

Does Bizank give me financial advice?

Bizank does not give financial advice. Any investment advice provided via Bizank is provided by Anchor Capital. Financial advice is best received from an authorized financial adviser who should consider various factors to determine the appropriate investment for you. As Bizank does not give financial advice we cannot state that Bizank is the appropriate product for you and it is best that you speak with your financial adviser. What we can do is offer the investment expertise of Anchor Capital – our asset manager – and create an investment portfolio based on the information you provide. We create a portfolio for your given goal (be it retirement or a house, etc.) based on your responses to our questions. Amongst other things, you tell us about your risk appetite, duration for the investment, the amount of money you are looking to save and how you would like to contribute your capital. We then build a portfolio we believe will give you the best chance of achieving your goals. Should any of the information you provide change, please let us know as we may need to adjust your portfolio.

Does Bizank give me investment advice?

In short, no. Bizank is a tool designed to help you to identify your investment needs and to select an investment, managed by Anchor Capital, that fits your needs.

By accepting our Terms and Conditions, you are giving Anchor Capital the authority to act on your behalf, in respect of your investments with Bizank. Anchor Capital is a discretionary investment manager, which means that Anchor Capital takes responsibility for the investment decision-making and transactions in your portfolios. Once invested, the Anchor Capital investment team makes investment decisions on your behalf, on the basis of the information you provided when you created your portfolio.

What happens to my dividends?

They are re-invested.
